Minimum Educational Qualification

Three (3) years full time Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical/Production / Metallurgical from any institute, recognized by AICTE or UGC.

Diploma holders in above discipline from RD Tata Technical Education Centre, Jamshedpur, and J N Tata Technical Education Centre, Gopalpur and Tata Steel Technical Institute, Burmamines are also eligible to apply.

Candidates with Part Time/Correspondence/Distance Learning will not be eligible.


Qualification 

Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in an Steel Manufacturing plant/Electric Arc furnace plant as on 1 May 2025 after acquiring diploma certificate.

Minimum 55% marks aggregate in Diploma Engineering for General candidates.

Minimum 50% marks aggregate in Diploma Engineering for Female/SC/ST/Transgender/PwD candidates.


Age Criteria 

Should have been born on or after, 1st May 1993 for General candidates.

Should have been born on or after, 1st May 1990 for Female/SC/ST/Transgender/PwD candidates

Candidates pan India are eligible to apply, but preference will be given to those from Punjab


Selection Process 

1. Eligible candidates will have to appear for Written test and interview process. Each stage will be an elimination stage.

2. Eligible candidates, who are currently employed with Tata Group Company/Subsidiaries/Associate Company will need to furnish an NOC from the present employer before being considered for employment in Tata Steel. The NOC must be produced at the time of interview. 

3. All selected candidates will have to be declared medically fit as per Company's medical fitness standard, before their appointment.

4. All selected candidates will undergo Background verification as per Company's standard, before their appointment.

5. No reimbursement will be made to the candidates in this process.

6. Candidates who are found ineligible as per the laid down criteria at any stage of selection process will be immediately disqualified from further selection process.

7. Canvassing in any form will automatically disqualify a candidate.

8. Female and Transgenders candidates are encouraged to apply.
